Cameron and Del Toro are working on At The Mountains Of Madness.Lovecraft is probably my favorite author of all time, so I'm pretty stoked that there might finally be a competent film based on his work now.
Back before the movie had a name, my brother and I were certain that the Cloverfield monster was Cthulhu--god knows what reason why--wishful thinking, I guess. It goes without saying it ended up being pretty disappointing for the both of us.
We're expecting this to rectify the situation. With Cameron's money (producing only--thank god), Del Toro's aesthetics and Lovecraft's narrative, it seems like the perfect storm.
